There were a lot of rumors around that the well known WSOP champion from 2006, Jamie Gold signed one of the biggest sponsorship contracts in the industry with the Aced.com online poker brand. The rumors turned out to be true. Just a few days ago, Jamie Gold and all his representatives have confirmed the rumor and stated publicly his new position over at aced.com.

The aced online poker room is a new one, since they have started doing business just a few months ago, in September 2008. Aced Poker is currently part of the Merge Gaming Network.

The Aced Poker room manager, Brandon Brendt also confirmed the news and said that they are really looking forward for a successful relationship between this online poker room and Jamie Gold, that will help them a lot develop the Aced Poker brand.

Some unofficial sources of GetPokerNews team managed to find out that Aced.com made an 8 figure contract with Jamie Gold, this way they signed one of the largest sponsorship contracts in the world of poker. Also both parties involved in this transaction do not have the liberty to disclose the details about it.

Jamie Gold is not only a successful poker player, he is also known as a philanthropist. And since 2006 when he became a WSOP champion he managed to raise more than $110 million for charity.
