Doyle’s Room accepts players from US and moved to Cake Poker Network

The online poker room that belongs to the most popular poker legend: Doyle Brunson, made an interesting strategic move. From 22 January 2009, Doyle’s Room is going to be part of the Cake Poker Network. Until today this online poker room was part of the Microgaming Network that didn’t accept new players from United States.

All the new players that are going to sign up will go straight to the Cake Network. And it’s important that you make the software update.

Doyles Room is an online poker room that travelled a lot through online poker networks. Initially Doyle’s Room was part of the Tribeca Network, after that this online poker network was brought by Playtech, so Doyle’s Room was part of the Playtech Poker Network and later on moved to the Microgaming Poker Network. This online poker room was affected by the October 2006 bill and ever since that moment Doyle’s Room was no longer accepting new players from United States. The players where all sold and transferred over to Full Tilt Poker. Doyles Room continued successfully to run their online poker room with traffic outside United States.

At the end of the year 2007 Doyles Room moved to the Microgaming Poker Network, where they initially accepted players from US, but later in 2008, Microgaming stopped accepting players from US. So this way Doyles Room was again looking for a new online poker network where they can get players from US. And Cake Poker one of the fastest growing online poker networks out there looks to be the perfect choice. On average Doyles Room has around 8,000 players connected at the tables, while Cake Poker has around 4,000.

So by uniting their forces there will certainly going to create a strong partnership, where everybody is going to win including the players since all Doyle Brunson’s fans will be able to play poker on his poker room, including those from United States, and the players will also be able to find more opponents to play.
