T.J. Cloutier is the name of a professional poker player. The full name of this online poker player is Thomas James Cloutier. He was born in October 13, 1939, and he is right now 70 years old. He managed to become famous and enter the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006. And just like any other popular poker player, the story behind him is very interesting.
He first attended the University of California, after he received an athletic scholarship for football and baseball. Unfortunately he had to drop it after some financial problems related to his family. After that he was in the US Army. The next step in his life after the army was to be a football player, but due to an injury he had to cut this career in a very short time. The next thing that T.J. Cloutier tried was starting a food company, but unfortunately he never made it and moved on to Texas to try to find work on oil rigs. Here is where he discovered poker. During his days off and his free time he started to play poker and in just a matter of few months he started to realize that his game of poker was bringing him more money than working! So he quit his job.
T.J. Cloutier is the only person in the history of poker that managed to win the 3 types of Omaha poker tournaments (Pot Limit High, Limit High, and Limit 8-or-Better) at the World Series of Poker.
