Phil Gordon is an outstanding professional poker player. Right now there are many great poker players in the world that have the same first name: Phil. There is Phil Laak, Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth. It looks like this name started to be a predestined name just like Jeeves is for a butler.

But there you are only going to find one Phil Gordon. He is also an expert commentator for the Bravo’s hit show: Celebrity Poker Showdown, where he hosts the show along with David Foley.

He managed to get that job for a certain reason, as he is himself a professional poker player with some outstanding results. He managed to get to the 4th place at the 2001 World Series of Poker, and received a prize of $400k. And in March 2004 he managed to take home an incredible amount of $360,000.

Phil Gordon also loves adventure travel. This way he managed to visit all the 6 continents, by visiting more than 50 countries on the trips that he took so far. Phil Gordon is a very active person.

He also managed to write a couple of books including Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book: Lessons and Teachings in No Limit Hold’em and Poker: The Real Deal.
