Initial tragedy

Jennifer Harman has been often tested by God. She lost her sister and mother to kidney ailments when she was in her teens. She took to the game of poker as an eight year old kid and that separated her from her father. In total, she has ever lacked personal touch.

Poker and studies

Born in Reno, Nevada, she was anyway attuned to traditional life and pursued her graduation. She was quite a bright student and could have got a good job, but Poker began to grow on her. She was a woman and did not find it easy to be tutored. Moreover, there were huge players in her times and she bade her time.

Success at last

28 years since she started her poker career, she won her first WSOP title. The funny part was that she hardly knew much about the Snowball variety and was taught by Howard Lederer on an ad- hoc basis. Still she managed to beat a table of masters stunning everyone. She repeated the feat in 2002, only to mature into a professional player. Her career earning is more than 2 million dollars, one of the highest for women.

Charity

She has been having kidney problems. She got them transplanted second time in 2004. Financially able now she started her non-profit organization Creating organ Donation Awareness (CODA) to make people conscious about kidney ailments and raise funds.

Activity

She is a full tilt member of fulltiltpoker.com, where she passes deft tips and tricks. She has also written a treatise on Hold’ em Poker, a variety she specializes in. She is a role model for women who want to take up this game seriously. She is also active in Bellagio’s hugely budgeted ‘Big game.’

Family

She has kissed and made up with her father. She currently lives with her twin kids and husband Marco Traniello.
