Doyle Brunson… a legend of poker! He is probably one of the most famous professional poker player in the world. So far he managed to win more than 10 WSOP bracelets, and it is located #2 along with the other poker legend Johnny Chan on the list with the players with the largest number of WSOP tournaments won.

He is a fan of high stakes games, and recently opened up its own online poker room. He is also an author just like all the other great poker players, and had an incredible success with the Super System book about poker. This book is a must have in case you want to become a professional poker player.

He was born in 1933 in Texas. He is 75 years old right now and wishes to continue to play poker until he is 80!

Doyle Brunson is considered to be the greatest poker player of all time. He managed to prove to everybody that age is not a factor in the game of poker by winning the 2004 Legends of Poker, a WPT event, and cashing in more than $1,198,290. In case you want to meet him, he is usually found at the well known Bellagio casino in Las Vegas. There he plays at the High Stakes Texas Hold’em poker. Since this is its favorite game.

One of the nicknames that Doyle Brunson is known is: “Texas Dolly”, everywhere on the internet and in written press you will see that people refer to him as a legend.
Poker is not the only sport he plays. During high school he played basketball, baseball and ran track. Back then he was chosen to be one of the 5 best basketball players in all the Texas state. This proved that some people are just simply made to be successful. And they manage to do things right in absolutely anything that they do.

He finished college and received a Master’s degree in Administrative Education. After that just like any other normal person in the world he tried the 9 to 5 job. But he saw that playing poker is way more profitable so he just had to give up on that job. Even if his main activity is poker, and he managed to become famous thanks to its poker skills, he is also known for making other side bets. For example one of the most notable bets made by him is the one that he could lose 100 pounds. He made that bet ($1M) with a friend, and guess what: HE WON!

He got married back in 1962 and he had 4 children. Todd, one of them is also a successful poker player just like his father. This means a lot for him because he managed to leave something behind, and he also has someone to follow his dream of being the best poker player in the world.
