The story of Daniel Negreanu is very interesting. His parents are Romanians that moved to Canada (Toronto), the place where he was born. He dropped high school to follow his dream and moved to Las Vegas. He managed to become out of a dropout student one of the most famous poker players of all time.

He decided to take life in his hands even if he only needed a few more credits to graduate. At the age of 21 he decided that he must definitely follow his dream and moved to Las Vegas. Unfortunately this first stay was short, due to the fact that he was unsuccessful. After that he had to back to Toronto. He spent some time there to rebuild his bankroll, and tried Las Vegas one more time. So in 1997 he managed to win the two events at the World Poker Finals (worth – $133,600). He was also named to be one of the best players at the whole tournament tables. One year after that performance Daniel Negreanu managed to become the youngest winner of the most famous live poker tournament in the world (World Series of Poker).

Ever since that moment the career of Daniel Negreanu just went through the roof. This way during the last 10 years, Daniel Negreanu managed to win 2 more WPT events and 2 more WSOP finals, and one of the most important is that he was present at the final tables at more than 11 events.

So far Daniel Negreanu managed to win more than $10 million from the poker tournaments that he played. This way he is #4 on the list of professional players with the highest amount of money won at all time tournaments. This performance is very good for a high school dropout that is currently around 30 years old.
